How often do you and your siblings fight? Pretty often? Imagine an entire civilization that was mainly peaceful. Now imagine the unification needed to build all the cities in the civilization almost the exact same way. All the cities in this civilization had been built by the same material, similar layouts, and the exact same size of bricks.
The type of government that the city of Mohenjo-Daro had was never exactly determined, but evidence does show that there were no head of the government like a king or queen. It is strongly believed that they were ruled through city-states with specific officials from each different mound. Mounds were what the 250 acre of land was built on. Evidence also indicates the elites collected taxes. Granary are buildings made of mud bricks that stored grain but were also used to collect taxes. Similarly, the government of Harappa is very much unknown. But regardless, it is evident that the government and/or people were all unified with extreme organization.
